*CALL FOR APPLICATIONS*

In the study year 2008/2009 we offer the following three-year programs as also one-year guest student programmes in:

*Interior Design*
*Digital Media* - Photography, Video, Animation and Interaction
*Sculpture*

*Restoration*

*STUDIES*: Our learning methods and system of studies enable students for flexibility and quick adjustment to needs of the working market.
Through lectures, practical work with mentors, groups, cooperation between students of different departments and by promoting student participation in international events, exhibitions in school and outside it, festivals, competitions in broader public space and other projects we provide an active platform for development of individual creativity, always having in mind their future working possibilities.

*MENTORING*: An interesting and diverse array of teaching staff and mentors, professional artists and experts, domestic and foreign guests, active in their fields, ensures innovative work and knowledge, an insight into contemporary art, culture and production in the areas covered by the school. The school and its entire staff function also as a consulting body, advising on personal development and available employment options to current and former students.

*EXTRACURRICAL ACTIVITIES*: We promote collaborative projects between students of different programs and we also organize exhibitions, projects in broader public space and international events in close cooperation with other institutions. Students are encouraged to take part and gather experience at these and other events, such as festivals and competitions. More on these activities:

*PREMISES AND EQUIPMENT*: Multimedia studio, projection room and drawing room that can be transformed into a photo studio, a graphic studio, sculpting modelling room, ceramics workshop, restoration workshop, combined ambient studio. The school also comprises a small reading room with the Internet access, a library and the secretary's office, which is open to students every day. At the time of semester exhibitions, the school's premises and halls are converted into exhibition space. Outside the academic year the premises can be used as a gallery as well as a production studio.

*DIPLOMA*: After successful completion of studies which includes diploma thesis, the student obtains a diploma whereby FAMUL STUART verifies that the student successfully completed the studies according to the program. The diploma issued by FAMUL STUART School of Applied Arts is not yet verified by the Slovenian state, this however does not mean that it is not recognised by various organisations, employers and schools. While some reference information about the practical application of the diploma in the activities of our students and graduates is provided in the book 'Desetka!' ('Ten!'), issued in September 2004, current information can be found in the blog www.famul-art-news.blogspot.com .

*DURATION*: All the programs are three years long. The academic year is from October to June. Lectures and practical courses take place five days a week. The students are welcome to use the working premises outside of their course times. Working students who cannot be present at all courses should discuss this with the student office and later with mentors to agree on adjusting the study pace.

*APPLICATION*: Applications are accepted from February until September.
The applicants for three year programmes should have a high school degree and a certain level of artistic talent. There is no age limit. If the number of applicants is higher than the number of spaces at any of the programs, the students are chosen based upon applicants' portfolio and interview.

*GUEST STUDENT PROGRAMME*: For students with previous higher education or professional experience who are interested in taking courses for further professional development we offer a one-year non-degree programme. The programme is tailored individually, the student can choose from all courses and mentors in the current offer.
