This year's programme, entitled Raw Symbiosis, focuses on the (self)understanding of culture through nature, on power relations through environmental discourse, on human relationship to animals, the natural, and the transient, and finally on technological tools or extensions that testify to a new nature. The festival will offer one week of more than 35 events - more than a third gratis - including programmes specifically designed for children and youth.

Part of the festival is also included in a multiannual European project A Space for Live Art (supported by Culture Programme) whereThe Association for the Promotion of Women in Culture - City of Women plays the role of co-organiser (project coordinator: Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Brussels, Belgium).

Live art, an artistic discipline, which "defies all definition", is experiencing a remarkable renewal. Its fluctuating and diverse forms, the special inclusion of the public, innovative performance spaces, and usage of performance language make it one of the most innovative performance genres, propagated especially by female artists. However, live art is still little known to the world at large. To bridge this gap and strengthen the position of new forms of live art in Europe, eight cultural structures have partnered in a five-year European project entitled A Space for Live Art.
